Welding head: a resonant metal rod with half wavelength, which uniformly acts pressure and vibration on the workpiece to be welded. The shape of the welding head determines the amplitude of the end face of the welding head. According to different welding applications, the welding head materials are divided into titanium alloy, aviation aluminum and alloy steel.

 

Titanium alloy is the best material for welding head because of its high strength and low loss.

The loss of aluminum welding head is usually reduced by chromium plating, nickel plating and hard coating.

The steel welding head is suitable for low amplitude applications requiring hardness such as socket welding.
